After Two Months, We Finally Have the Essential Donald Trump “Unintentional Comedy” Video Clip
Photo courtesy of GettyThis is incredible. At a meeting on Tuesday with leaders of the U.S.’s largest police union—who warned Trump about cutting grants to sanctuary cities—Trump went on one of his usual rambling self-pitying monologues about how everyone is unfair to him. This one, however, culminated in what must be the funniest moment of his already pretty funny candidacy thus far. Watch, and savor the irony:
“We just can’t make mistakes, right? So we don’t make mistakes. Go ahead, Ken…”

Here’s that beautiful verbiage in text form:
Trump: All this live television, it’s always live for me. You know unfortunately, the other guys, they make a speech, nobody hears. With me, everything’s live. One mistake, and it’s no good. But we just can’t make mistakes, right? So we don’t make mistakes. Go ahead, Ken.
“Ken”: I’m Chuck Canterbury, the national president of the Fraternal Order of Police from South Carolina…
As some have pointed out on Twitter, this could not have been scripted better on HBO’s Veep, which looks less and less like a sitcom and more more like a documentary every day.
