Democrats Call for Full Release of Mueller Report
Photo by Win McNamee/GettyDemocrats are pushing for the immediate release of the full report from special counsel Robert Mueller after it was revealed that the document is more than 300 pages long, according to NBC News.
The extensive report was condensed as a four-page letter to Congress by Attorney General William Barr, and cleared Trump of any Russian collusion in his 2016 campaign.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Barr’s summary was “condescending” and “arrogant,” in addition to referring to the administration as “scaredy-cats” and questioning if what Trump fears is the truth.
Pelosi addressed Barr, “Mr. Attorney General, we do not need your interpretation. Show us the report and we’ll come to our own conclusions.”
Barr has claimed that he will release a partial version of the report in April after removing confidential information. However, Democrats have suggested that they will subpoena Mueller directly if the report and its full findings are not released to Congress in a timely manner.
