House Votes Unanimously in Favor of Publicizing Mueller Report

The House has voted in a bipartisan decision to urge the Justice Department to publicly release Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on President Trump’s campaign and Russian election interference to Congress and the public.

The final vote was 420-0, with eight members of Congress opting out of the vote and four Republicans voting “present.”

Despite the overwhelming gesture, the vote cannot force Attorney General William Barr to release any more of the report than he so decides, to Congress or the public. Additionally, it is still uncertain whether Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will bring the resolution to the Senate floor for a vote.
