Two More GOP Senators Refuse to Support Trumpcare, Effectively Killing This Iteration

Yesterday, Trump’s promise to repeal and replace Obamacare took a massive step backwards. Two Republican senators, Mike Lee of Utah and Jerry Moran of Kansas, announced they would vote against the bill in its current form. This means Republicans no longer have the votes to pass the bill. This is now the second time the Senate version of the bill has been delayed, and this time may kill the effort permanently.

According to a report from the NYT, the new plan is one Trump himself proposed on Twitter a few weeks ago. Repeal Obamacare without an actual replacement, and just hope that the resulting chaos would force Democrats to reach across the aisle to work with Republicans to hurriedly draft a replacement before too much damage is done.

Sounds legit.
