Eleven-Year-Old Jay Beatty Wins Scottish Goal of the Month Award

You may remember 11-year-old Celtic fan Jay Beatty, who became famous throughout the football world for scoring a penalty during half-time of the Hamilton vs Celtic game in January.

Well, the Scottish Professional Football League has announced that Jay’s goal won the January Goal of the Month competition with a record 97 percent of the vote. Georgios Samaras , the former Celtic striker, recorded a video message to congratulate Jay on his award.
