Jese Returns From Injury With Incredible Nutmeg

Tuesday night marked an important evening for Real Madrid. Not only did the team register a crushing 5-0 victory over UD Cornella in the Copa del Rey, but also saw the return of Spanish youngster Jese. Playing in his first match since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament 258 days ago, the 21-year-old registered a goal and an absolutely devastating nutmeg.

Cornella defender David Garcia looked to have Jese contained, but a brilliant bit of skill saw the forward both maintain possession and steal Garcia’s dignity.

Jese marked his comeback with a goal late in the second half, firing home into the far corner from close range. Carlo Ancelotti celebrated the result, even while realizing that he now has yet another goal-scoring forward to work into his roster.
