WATCH: Alex Morgan Scores A Brace In Two Minutes For Lyon

Whatever else can be said of Alex Morgan’s move to Olympique Lyon Feminin, and the strange courtship that preceded it, the USWNT star is definitely making the most it.

Over the weekend Lyon traveled to take on Albi Feminin in league play. OL ran roughshod over their hosts, thanks in part to their star American forward. Morgan scored two in about as many minutes— first, an exquisite chip over the keeper, and then moments later somehow managing to nutmeg said keeper while she was crouched low to the ground and scrambling the ball in. The second wasn’t the prettiest goal you’ll ever see, but it did help cement Lyon’s resounding 5-0 win over Albi.
