Senegal has provided the first upset of AFCON 2015, scoring in the 93rd minute to defeat Ghana 2-1.
The quick build-up play started with goalscorer Moussa Sow losing an aerial duel. But the Ghanaian defender headed the ball straight to a Senegal player and after a quick 1-2, Sow buried the match winner.
The three points put Senegal in great position to advance out of the group of death. A win against South Africa would put them through to the quarterfinals before facing Algeria to close Group B play. Meanwhile, Ghana is in a world of trouble. A loss against Algeria in their next match would eliminate them from tournament.
