Witness The Brilliant Touch of Isco
Last week, we brought you the story of Lionel Messi’s incredible touch, which was demonstrated after he volleyed a ball over a 60-foot barrier. Today, however, it’s the technical ability of Real Madrid midfielder Isco that merits special attention.
On Wednesday night, Real traveled to the Estadio Vicente Calderon to take on crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey. Although Atletico went on to win the match 2-0, Isco won the award for most deft touch for this outside-of-the-foot flick-on following a lofted, 50-yard ball from Alvaro Arbeloa. Perhaps more impressive than the play itself is the fact that immediately afterwards, Isco charges forward to trigger a counterattack rather than stand with his hands over his head in celebration.
