You Should Probably Fear the Outside of Ricardo Quaresma’s Right Foot

There are many things in this world that are justifiably frightening to most humans. The Brazilian Wandering Spider. Sharknados. Scintillating dinner conversation. Well, after this week’s Portuguese Primeira League clash between FC Porto and Paços de Ferreira, humanity should go ahead and add Ricardo Quaresma’s right foot to that list. More specifically, the outside of his right foot.

In the first half of Porto’s eventual 5-0 demolition of Paços de Ferreira, Quaresma used his chest to settle a crossfield pass from Spanish midfielder Oliver Torres, took a deft touch to separate himself from would-be defender Vasco, and then sent a beautifully bending ball bouncing off the underside of the bar and into the goal. The goal was 31-year old winger’s second of the match, and third this season.
