Set in picturesque Palm Springs, California at the Bob Hope Estate, the Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 show was all drama and tension. From Ryuichi Sakamoto’s driving soundtrack and bass rhythms, to the high-top combat boots and metallic accents, Nicolas Ghesquière’s collection was free to experiment and experiment he did. With mini shorts and maxi skirts, swaths of leather and snakeskin, LV’s boundaries were pushed in this collection and it is safe to say Ghesquière has found his comfort zone at the helm of this fashion power house.
