Fashion Designer Karl Lagerfeld is Ready to Build a Hotel

Style News Karl Lagerfeld

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has been dabbling with hotel interiors for some time, but now he’s officially entering the hospitality business. On Monday, an Amsterdam-based licensing platform focused on hospitality called Brandmark Collective announced a partnership with the 83-year old designer.

Lagerfeld’s new company, Karl Lagerfeld Hospitality, will reportedly apply his signature aesthetic to “hotels, residential properties, restaurants and private clubs,” per a press release. As Pier Paolo Rhigi, CEO and President of Karl Lagerfeld’s brand, put it, “Expanding our brand into the hospitality sector reflects our greater vision to broaden Karl Lagerfeld’s comprehensive lifestyle experience.”

This won’t be Lagerfeld’s first foray into interior design: he’s already designed hotel spaces in Monaco, Toronto and Miami. Lagerfeld’s new hospitality company already has a website, which you’ll find here. Brandmark Collective is currently exploring gateway markets for the company.
