ModCloth Has A New Bridal Section Featuring Gowns Under $300

Style News

ModCloth CEO Matt Kaness alluded to the addition of a new dedicated line back in August, and now the San Francisco-based retailer has finally launched its bridal section.

As part of the company’s growth plan, the line—launched last week incorporate just about every aspect of your bridal gown needs, from the dress, to accessories and shoes. The gowns themselves range in brand and style, including Anna Sui, Erin Fetherston’s PL range, and the retailers own in-house line. More than 40 wedding dresses are included in a variety of silhouettes and sizing (XS to 4X, specifically) while all the gowns carry price tags under $500. The majority of the featured gowns, however, are being sold for less than $300.

The dress selection process is about more than just the bride though, which is why the line also features dresses for the bridal party that feature navy, blush, flora and lace, and are priced between $75 and $300. The section, which was inspired by customers who have already used the company’s various other lines to meet their wedding day needs, also provides a slew of special occasion dress offerings for those guests outside of the immediate bridal party.

“When designing the wedding looks for our ModCloth label, as always we are inspired by vintage silhouettes with a nod to retro styling,” Lizz Wasserman, ModCloth’s fashion director, said in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily. “But in fabrication and fits that are perfect for a contemporary bride of any size.”
