Atlanta’s Alliance Theater Announces Cast, Creative Team for Troubadour
Images via YouTubeAtlanta’s Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre has revealed the cast of its forthcoming world premiere musical, Troubadour, by playwright Janece Shaffer (The Geller Girls, Broke). The music will be provided by Grammy Award-winning recording artist Kristian Bush of Sugarland and Billy Pilgrim.
Set in Nashville in the 1950s, Troubadour is a romantic comedy about an unlikely group of friends whose unconventional style changes the course of country music.
The cast includes country music singer-songwriter, musician, and music producer Radney Foster, and Atlanta-based singer-songwriter and fifth-place finalist of the NBC hit television series The Voice Zach Seabaugh.
Troubadour is directed by the Alliance’s Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Geller Girls). The show runs on the Alliance Stage from Jan. 18 to Feb. 12, 2017.
