Cheap-Ass Tickets to the U.K. Have Arrived

Travel News

No thanks to Brexit, cheap tickets to the U.K. have arrived. Today, WOW Air —the airline that brought us $99 flights to Europe and these adorable uniforms announced it’ll begin service from four U.S. destinations to Edinburgh Airport via Reykjavik. As expected ticket prices will be low…under $200 low.

Flights to the Scottish capital will depart from Boston, Baltimore/D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco twice a week — all with layovers in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik. WOW air CEO Skùli Morgensen sees the launch as yet another opportunity for Americans to visit Europe on the cheap this summer. Factoring in the decline of the British Pound Sterling, the U.K. is as affordable as ever.

Edinburgh has long been among the U.K.’s top destinations, behind London. From medieval castles to the surrounding Scottish Highlands, the city provides a perfect backdrop to uncovering what Scotland has to offer — even if you can hardly understand what they’re saying.
