Affordable Flights to Iceland to See The Northern Lights This Winter
Photo: Kerstin Langenburger/Barcroft Media/GettyWinter is coming, and, with that, the Northern Lights and cheap flights to Iceland.
Last week, we mentioned the ridiculously cheap flights to Scandinavia, and, this week, it looks like Iceland wants in on the action, with airfare currently costing about half it normally does for this time of year. WOW Air already offers, quite literally, $99 flights, from cities across the U.S., to Reykjavik, and, somehow, these flights for later this year still haven’t sold out.
This deal comes at the perfect time because, following this winter, the Northern Lights are projected to dim for the next decade, and there’s no better place to experience the aurora than during winter—from now until mid-March—in Iceland.
To book one of these flights, search via the WOW Air flexible travel dates. Some sample round-trip fares to Reykjavik this December cost:
Boston: $250
Miami: $198
NYC: $350
Washington D.C.: $390
