Adam Lambert Cast as Eddie/Meatloaf for Fox’s Rocky Horror Remake

TV News

Fox has slowly been rounding out the cast for its remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Now, it has cast Adam Lambert in the role of Eddie, originally played by singer Meatloaf in the 1975 cult hit. The American Idol and Glee star will play the motorcycle riding crooner who crashes Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s party.

“I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!” said Lambert about the casting.

Lambert joins the cast already consisting of Laverne Cox, Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Reeve Carney and Staz Nair. The pre-taped, two-hour special will be out on Fox in the fall and is being directed, executive produced and choreographed by High School Musical’s Kenny Ortega.
