Slow Horses Promo Clip Features Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik Channeling the Smoke and Mirrors of the Espionage Drama

A Slow Horses x USA Mens’ Gymnastics crossover was not on our 2024 bingo card.

Fresh off his impressive performance at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, where he helped the US men’s gymnastics team snag a bronze medal with his jaw-dropping pommel horse routine, specialist Stephen Nedoroscik is diving headfirst into the world of espionage. In a new promo video for Slow Horses Season 4, titled “Slow Pommel Horses,” Nedoroscik channels his inner Jackson Lamb, the irritable leader of the beleaguered British intelligence team in the critically acclaimed drama.

Beginning the clip with his iconic glasses perched upon his face, Nedoroscik prepares before showcasing his impressive pommel horse routine, set to the backdrop of the show’s theme song, “Strange Game” by Mick Jagger. The clip also debuts as Nedoroscik appears on Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars, currently airing on ABC, demonstrating a different kind of move—trading pommel horse apparatuses for jives and cha-chas on the dance floor.

Slow Horses Season 4, which follows a group of M15 agents forced to navigate the intensity of espionage while reeling from the aftermath of various occupational blunders, is adapted from Mick Herron’s 2017 novel Spook Street. The series recently snagged the Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series prize at the 2024 Emmy Awards for the Season 3 episode “Negotiating With Tigers.”

Slow Horses Season 4 began with a bomb that unearthed secrets, sending the team into chaos. With Gary Oldman leading the charge as the irascible Jackson Lamb, the returning cast includes acclaimed actors like Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, and Jonathan Pryce. This season also introduces new faces, including Ruth Bradley, Joanna Scanlan, and Hugo Weaving, elevating the stellar ensemble.

So, while you wait for the next episode of Slow Horses, enjoy Nedoroscik’s comedic spin in “Slow (Pommel) Horses” and prepare for another wild ride in the world of espionage and misfit agents. Check out the video below to see Nedoroscik in action.
