Watch the First Full Trailer for Atlanta Robbin’ Season
Photo by Guy D'Alema/FXDonald Glover’s Atlanta makes its much-anticipated return in just over two weeks, and the acclaimed FX comedy’s second season, Atlanta Robbin’ Season, just got its first full trailer.
The trailer updates us on what Glover’s Earnest “Earn” Marks and company are up to nowadays, showing us Earn sleeping in a storage unit, Brian Tyree Henry’s Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles recording a radio promo, Zazie Beetz’s Van playing ping-pong and Lakeith Stanfield’s Darius setting the stage for Atlanta’s second installment in characteristically Confucian fashion: “Robbin’ season … everybody gotta eat.”
Beyond that, the video doesn’t reveal many details of Atlanta Robbin’ Season—nor does FX’s official synopsis, which simply reads, “Two cousins work through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families.” However, the trailer does capture the dreamy, yet grounded mood that made Atlanta’s first season so mesmerizing. Here’s hoping Earn and his friends can hold on to what’s theirs this Robbin’ Season.
Episode one of Atlanta Robbin’ Season, titled “Alligator Man,” airs on Thursday, March 1 at 10 p.m. EST on FX. Watch the show’s official trailer above and revisit a pair of previous teasers here.
