Apple TV+ has just dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of drama Bad Sisters. This new installment, consisting of eight episodes, will premiere on November 13th on the streamer. The first two episodes will be available on the 13th, and subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays.
Set two years after the demise of Grace Williams’s (Anne Marie-Duff) abusive husband, John Paul (Claes Bang), the Garvey sisters find themselves grappling with the return of long-buried truths. Although they’ve seemingly moved on, their lives are upended as old suspicions resurface, secrets come to light, and trust among the sisters is put to the ultimate test. The series stars Emmy nominee Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe) as eldest sister Eva Garvey, Sarah Greene as Bibi Garvey, Eva Birthistle as Ursula Flynn, and Eve Hewson as Becka Garvey.
The trailer finds the sisters reeling from the deadly events of the first season and offers viewers a glimpse of the new additions to the series. We see Emmy nominee Fiona Shaw as a nosy and oppositional new character. Shaw joins the series alongside Owen McDonnell (Killing Eve) and Thaddea Graham (Sex Education), per an Apple TV+ press release.
The first installment of Bad Sisters garnered significant critical and awards acclaim. Season 1 won a BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama Series and earned several other nominations, including Emmy nods for Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series.
Bad Sisters is helmed by executive producers Horgan, Faye Dorn (Top Boy), and Clelia Mountford (Frayed), with Dearbhla Walsh also contributing as executive producer and director. Additional EPs include Bert Hamelinck (Sound of Metal), Michael Sagol (War Pony), Dave Finkel (30 Rock), and Brett Baer (New Girl).
