Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell Gets BBC Premiere Date and Trailer

The television adaptation of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell has been in the works for a long time and finally, there is now a premiere date on BBC America and a trailer.

Based on the best-selling novel from Susanna Clarke, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is an alternate history set in 19th century England, where magic once existed and has returned with two men, Gilbert Norell and Jonathan Strange, who could not be more different The older Norell is reclusive and orthodox, while Strange is handsome, young and bold, and their rivalry begins to affect the world in mystical and dangerous ways.

The miniseries stars Eddie Marsan as Mr. Norrell and Bertie Carvel as Jonathan Strange. Charlotte Riley, Alice Englert, Marc Warren, Samuel West, Enzo Cilenti and Ariyon Bakare round out the cast. Toby Haynes (Sherlock) is set to direct the seven-part series.

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell will premiere on BBC America on June 13 at 10 pm ET. You can see the trailer above.
