Bryan Cranston Joins Philip K. Dick’s Anthology Series Electric Dreams

Philip K. Dick’s 10-part anthology series from Battlestar Galactica’s Ronald D. Moore and Justified’s Michael Dinner has landed a major star.

Breaking Bad and All The Way actor Bryan Cranston has officially boarded Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K. Dick. Described as a set of standalone episodes that “will celebrate and illustrate Philip K. Dick’s distinctive vision,” the Sony and UK’s Channel 4 series will use the episodic storytelling style to explore “evergreen themes found in the incredible work of this literary master,” according to Cranston.

The show will be written by both British and American writers, with Cranston serving as executive producer along with The Man in the High Castle’s Isa Dick Hackett, Kalen Egan and Christopher Tricarico.

Most recently, Philip K. Dick’s The Man In The High Castle was adapted as a TV series for Amazon. His work has inspired a handful of other adaptations, including Total Recall, A Scanner Darkly, and Minority Report.
