Get Ready for Ghouls, Guts and Gags in First Trailer for Shudder’s Creepshow TV Series

If your Friday needed something a bit spine-tingling, streaming service Shudder has got something for you: the first trailer for their forthcoming TV show based on the cult megahit Creepshow.

The trailer’s filled to the brim with ghouls, gross-outs and gore galore. Bodies crammed into a suitcase? Check. Creepy dollhouse? Check. Nazis? Check. Goofball sense of humor? Check.

The anthology series will feature 12 new terrifying tales, ranging from creature feature to murderous psychodrama. The show’s premiere episode will tackle Stephen King’s story “Gray Matter,” a The Thing-like story of body horror set during a snowstorm that stars Adrienne Barbeau, Giancarlo Esposito and Tobin Bell. On the flipside of the episode will be “House of the Head,” which we don’t know much about, other than that it was written by Bird Box’s Josh Malerman.

Other actors on the show include familiar horror faces David Arquette, Jeffrey Combs, Dana Gould, Bruce Davison, DJ Qualls and Tricia Helfer, who will appear alongside rappers Kid Cudi and Big Boi. Creepshow enlisted The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero as showrunner, and its writing staff is a veritable who’s who of modern horror, including stories from NOS4A2’s Joe Hill, John Esposito, Rob Schrab, Paul Dini and tons more.

Creepshow will premiere on Shudder on Sept. 26. Check out the trailer below, then revisit our prior reporting on the show’s stacked cast and crew here.
