Disney XD has released the first trailer for the DuckTales resurgence today, and it drips of nostalgia. Taking pages from the original series, we get to see Scrooge McDuck (David Tennant) getting ready to swashbuckle his way into adventure, saying, “I’m Scrooge McDuck. I made my name being tougher than the toughies and smarter than the smarties.”
Voiced by a tremendous cast, DuckTales features performances from Tennant, Bobby Moynihan, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Beck Bennett, Kate Miccuci and Toks Olagundoye. Huey, Louie and Dewey (Pudi, Schwartz and Moynihan, respectively) are meeting their Uncle for the first time and they’ve been left for the weekend, which will likely send them on their various adventures. Scrooge, who seems to be in a mid-life crisis, may get to taste fresh life again on the adventures with his nephews.
