Images via HBO, Macall B. Polay/HBOHBO’s epic fantasy series will air its longest-ever episode this Sunday, but its ample runtime will pale in comparison to the wait for Game of Thrones’ eighth and final season. Reports indicate that the show’s last season will start shooting this October, putting it on track to air in September of 2018, per Collider. So savor the photos below, because after “The Dragon and the Wolf” airs, Game of Thrones is hopping aboard Drogon, and flying up and out of our lives for a while.

The King in the North looks awfully uneasy here, in the Roman coliseum-style meeting place where the finale’s big parlay between Daenerys’ and Cersei’s forces will take place.

Theon’s misery is palpable, as usual, but at least the guy is alive. From the looks of the background here, he’s still hanging around Dragonstone—to what end, we can’t imagine.

Sansa’s dealt with a lot of awfulness, the latest bit of which was her own sister threatening to kill her and wear her face. We can hardly blame her for doing a bit of Jon Snow-style brooding.

Bran’s brain contains multitudes, and we can only hope he uses those all-seeing eyes of his to let his fellow Starks in on what the hell’s going on out there. What do you see in those flames, guy?

It’s shocking how strong Lena Headey’s performance as Cersei continues to be, considering that all she’s been asked to do this season is stand around King’s Landing, looking queenly and evil.

It looks here like Daenerys is holding a gun to King’s Landing’s collective head in the form of her huge Unsullied and Dothraki army. We can’t imagine their parlay will go smoothly.

Where is Bronn and Jaimie’s buddy-comedy spin-off, HBO? Even a still image of them doing their thing is a ton of fun. Jaimie: “Are those Unsullied?” Both in unison: “Here we go again!”

As you may know, we at Paste have our theories on how this particular relationship will play out. And while Cersei is looking steely and resolute above, her brother-lover looks a bit less confident.

As long as these two guys survive it, Game of Thrones season seven will have been a success.
