GLOW Renewed for Fourth and Final Season on Netflix

Netflix is bringing its Emmy-winning women’s wrestling dramedy GLOW back for a fourth and final go-round in the ring, the streamer announced Friday.

Inspired by the cult-favorite ‘80s show of the same name, GLOW stars Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin as two of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling’s biggest stars, with Marc Maron as the show’s cantankerous director. Season Three, which finds the ladies of GLOW taking the Vegas strip by storm after landing a headlining gig at the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, debuted in August.

GLOW creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch will return as showrunners, writers and executive producers on Season Four, as will their fellow executive producers Jenji Kohan, Tara Herrmann and Mark Burley.

There’s no word yet as to the last season’s episode count or premiere date, but 10 episodes arriving in summer 2020 strikes us as a safe bet: The first three seasons, each 10 episodes, debuted in June 2017, June 2018 and August 2019.

GLOW has three Emmys under its belt to date, and is up for another at this Sunday’s 71st Emmy Awards: Gilpin notched a well-deserved nomination for her Season Two turn as Debbie Eagan, aka Liberty Belle.
