Illustration by Rob HerremaTune in today, Thursday, April 30, for the latest episode of The Paste Happiest Hour, our daily livestream interview and music show hosted by Paste editor-in-chief Josh Jackson.
Today’s episode begins with Harvey Guillen and Mark Proksch of FX’s What We Do in the Shadows at 5pm ET, followed by Lucero frontman Ben Nichols at 5:25.
We begin with the cast of What We Do in the Shadows. Harvey Guillén (familiar Guillermo) and Mark Proksch (energy vampire Colin Robinson) us for a discussion of the hilarious FX comedy. The new season finds Guillermo wrestling with his family’s vampire-hunting heritage, even as he dreams of one day getting turned by his master.
Then we’re joined by Ben Nichols of roots-rock band Lucero. The Memphis quintet has a dozen studio albums to their name, from 2000’s The Attic Tapes through 2018’s Liberty & Lament, recorded at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Service in the band’s hometown. Watch Lucero at the Paste Studio in New York last year.
