New on HBO Now: All the Movies and TV Coming in May

After April’s HBO whirlwind of Girls, Big Little Lies, Veep and The Leftovers, May is a much more relaxed month for the upscale streaming service.
Highlights include the premiere of the HBO film The Wizard of Lies, which stars Robert DeNiro as infamous con-man Bernie Madoff. We’re also getting the highly anticipated one-man comedy show Chris Gethard: Career Suicide, which explores alcoholism, depression and other funny things. As far as documentaries go, we’re getting yet another one about the opioid epidemic titled Warning: This Drug May Kill You, along with yet another true crime story, Mommy Dead and Dearest. HBO knows what we want—crime and drugs.
We’re getting a few theatricals, including several from the Jason Bourne franchise. We’ll also see Good Will Hunting, Legend and a handful of Clint Eastwood films, including High Plains Drifter and Joe Kidd. Overall, it’s a pretty blah month for HBO, but we suppose after April’s hard-hitters, they’ve earned it. See below for a full list of forthcoming titles.
