Anna Kendrick and Zac Efron enter the dawn of a new era in the new trailer for Facebook Watch’s forthcoming adult-comedy animated series Human Discoveries.
Premiering on July 16, Human Discoveries follows a group of people living in a primitive time period as they discover and experience cultural innovations for the first time—creating fire, inventing the wheel, getting drunk off grape juice and figuring out what the hell monogamy is.
The brainchild of Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee, the show is described as a social commentary on 2019 through the lens of prehistoric times. ShadowMachine, the team behind Bojack Horseman, produced the series in part with Efron’s production company Ninjas Runnin’ Wild (yes, we checked, that is indeed the name of his production company).
The show also stars Jillian Bell as Minerva, Lamorne Morris as Trog and Paul Scheer as the Fabio/Tarzan hybrid Ugg, and will feature guest appearances from Stephanie Beatriz, Lisa Kudrow and Sam Richardson, among others.
The first three episodes of Human Discoveries will premiere on Facebook Watch on July 16 at 6 p.m. PT and 9 p.m. ET and new episodes will air every Tuesday at the same time. In the meantime, you can check out the official trailer below.
