Orange Is the New Black’s Jenji Kohan to Executive Produce Netflix’s Slutty Teenage Bounty Hunters

Following the impending end of Orange Is the New Black, Jenji Kohan is tackling Netflix’s forthcoming comedy series Slutty Teenage Bounty Hunters, per Deadline.

Kohan is teaming up with the show’s creator Kathleen Jordan (American Princess) and OITNB executive producer Tara Herrmann. The series follows 16-year-old fraternal twins Sterling and Blair, who join forces with a veteran bounty hunter and begin capturing bail-skipping criminals, all while balancing teenage life’s trials and tribulations.

“After spending the last seven years in prison, we were ready to break free and have some serious fun,” Kohan told Deadline. “Kathleen provided a world we were excited to jump into and shake our hips around.”

Maddie Phillips (Supernatural, Van Helsing) will portray Sterling and Anjelica Bette Fellini (The French Dispatch) will portray Blair. Otherwise, Kadeem Hardinson (A Different World) and Virginia Williams (Fuller House) will appear in supporting roles.

Robert Sudduth (On My Block) is set as showrunner and executive producer with Jordan, Kohan, Herrmann and Blake McCormick (Mad Men, True Detective).

The show is tentatively slated to begin shooting in July through October. With production in Atlanta, the show’s producers have promised to make a donation to The Autonomy Fund in response to Georgia’s restrictive “heartbeat bill” abortion law.
