The cast is led by Jane the Virgin’s Bridget Regan and Hartnett as her husband. Rounding out the cast is Nick Nolte (Gracepoint), Barbara Hershey (Once Upon A Time), Gail Bean (Snowfall), Danielle Deadwyler (The Gifted) and Shane McRae (Sneaky Pete).
The show was created and written by Rodes Fishburne (Blood & Oil), and he will executive produce alongside Dexter’s Arika Lisanne Mittman. The Blind Side director John Lee Hancock will handle directing the 10-episode series, while David Kanter, Jeff Okin and Romeo Tirone also assist with executive producing.
“Paradise Lost is a complex, compelling series full of incredible characters, including the small town in Mississippi where it is set,” Keith Cox, president of development and production at Paramount Network and TV Land, said in a statement. “We’re excited to see John Lee Hancock bring this incredible world to life, building on the vision that Rodes Fishburne and Arika Lisanne Mittman have so vividly created.”
There is currently no premiere date for the show, but it will initially appear on the Charter Communications cable platform before its debut on the Paramount Network. Spectrum currently has other originals lined up including Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union’s L.A.’s Finest, and Curfew starring Sean Bean.
