Lena Dunham, who you may know was the subject of every Internet think piece of the past four months (or as the creator and star of HBO’s Girls), will be hosting Saturday Night Live this week. She and SNL cast member Kate McKinnon got together for a series of promos in advance of Saturday’s show, and you can watch them above.
Overall, I give the promos a solid A-. We’ve got some nudity jokes, insecurity, a “Two Young Feminists” dance and McKinnon proposing a very interesting plot twist for Dunham’s show. It’s a good sign for Saturday, although there’s still a 95 percent chance that Lorne Michaels will cut every good sketch at around 11 p.m. in favor of that repeat character you hate and a sketch about a pop culture icon that has exactly one punch line and lasts 14 minutes.
