Lucifer Renewed for Full Season at Fox

TV News Lucifer

The devil isn’t quite done yet. Lucifer has been given a full-season pickup for its second season. The Fox drama has a fairly substantial audience, especially when delayed-viewing statistics are considered.

The show is averaging a 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic, and 6.6 million viewers over the seven days after each episode. Fox has claimed that viewership reaches an average of 8 million across all platforms.

Adapted from a DC Comic, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as the devil himself, albeit a version of the character so bored by the underworld that he has decided to move to Los Angeles and solve crimes.

The new order for the show adds nine new episodes, which brings the show’s season two total to 22. “Lucifer continues to deliver, with great blasts of dark humor and ambitious storytelling.” said David Madden, President of Fox Entertainment. “The show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to Gotham, and we couldn’t be more pleased to order these nine additional episodes.”

Lucifer airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
