Netflix Picks up Kaos, New Series from Creator of The End of the F***ing World

Netflix has announced a new series titled Kaos from Charlie Covell, the writer-creator of last year’s sleeper hit The End of the F***ing World.

The streaming service greenlit Kaos for a 10-episode first season Sunday. Netflix described the series as “a darkly comedic and contemporary reimagining of Greek mythology, exploring themes of gender politics, power and life in the underworld.” Covell will write the new series.

Netflix will co-produce Kaos with United Kingdom-based All3Media and Brightstar, with no word yet on an estimated release date.

Despite low viewership when it aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, The End of the F***ing World gained huge popularity internationally when released on Netflix. Given the ambiguous ending of the first season, Covell and the show’s other creators have not ruled out the possibility of a second season.

Neither a cast nor a director have been announced yet for the project, so stay tuned for more news on Kaos.
