Activision have announced that a TV show based off their popular toy/game franchise Skylanders is coming to Netflix this fall. Titled Skylanders Academy, the series is being developed by Activision’s in-house television production studio, which opened last year. Activision signed a two-season deal with Netflix for Skylanders Academy.
The voice talent for the show features a few notable actors, including Justin Long (Alvin and the Chipmunks, Accepted) as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (Phineas and Ferb, High School Musical) as Stealth Elf and Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) as Eruptor. The series follows the adventures of the Skylanders team as they travel the world, protecting it from evil-doers, as well as training the next wave of Academy cadets.
