You can now start putting in those vacation day requests to secure your stress free binge of Marvel’s third Defender series.

Star of Luke Cage Mike Coulter revealed the series’ eagerly awaited premiere date last night during Daredevil’s New York City premiere. Fans can expect our favorite Harlem hero to arrive in our Netflix queues on Sept. 30, 2016.

Back at the winter 2016 Television Critics Association tour, Colter confirmed that Luke Cage would have a different vibe than Jessica Jones, the series where the man with unbreakable skin first appeared.

“We pride ourselves in all being unique shows, and Luke Cage is definitely not a sequel to Jessica Jones or a spinoff,” Colter told members of the press. “The show that we’re filming now, Marvel’s Luke Cage as opposed to Marvel’s Jessica Jones, is completely different.”

Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada took the time last night to expound on Colter’s earlier statements while speaking to the red carpet press.

“It’ll be a different side of Manhattan. We’re not just locking ourselves into Hell’s Kitchen, although a lot of stuff does come out of Hell’s Kitchen,” Quesada said. Luke Cage’s world is still New York, but it’s a different neighborhood. I don’t want to reveal much more than that, but the show itself will have a different palette, different feel, different tone. It’ll sound different.”
