It looks like Netflix is trying to pull a Jinx with it’s new series Making a Murderer. The first season, out next week, recounts the story of Wisconsin man Steven Avery, who went to prison for 18 years for rape but was later exonerated due to DNA testing. While seeking a wrongful conviction lawsuit, Avery is arrested for the murder of Teresa Halbach. The trailer strongly implies that the county framed Avery for the murder to get out of paying him, which is a whole different narrative than what we’ve seen with Serial or The Jinx, so good luck with that Netflix.
All episodes will be available Dec.18, so you can watch it after you get back from The Force Awakens, cause nothing goes with Star Wars quite like rape and murder.
