Adult Swim Shares Release Date for New Season of Samurai Jack

A little over a year ago, Adult Swim confirmed the return of the popular Cartoon Network show, Samurai Jack. This return marks a 13-year span since the show was canceled in 2004, after four seasons. And now, we finally have a date for the premiere of the new season.

Samurai Jack follows the titular samurai as he travels through time to get back to his family and destroy the demon, Aku, that cast him through a portal in time to the future. It’s stylistically lovely, and lot of fun to see Jack travel to different time periods and fight a bunch of bad dudes. This is a very exciting show to have back on the network, and fingers crossed that the series will take him all the way back to Aku this time.

Samurai Jack premieres in the Toonami block on Adult Swim on March 11 at 11:30 p.m. EST. Watch Adult Swim’s irreverent air date announcement video below.
