You Can Rent Erlich Bachman’s Aviato SUV from Silicon Valley

In what is certainly one of the most clever marketing ploys of all time, Erlich Bachman’s (T.J. Miller) car is now available to rent. The Silicon Valley character’s Aviato-branded SUV can be rented through a peer car-sharing service called Turo.

For a mere $49 a day, you can rent the 2006 Ford Escape seen on the HBO comedy. Although the car is currently located in San Francisco, it will eventually travel the country so that fans of the series can have the opportunity to drive the car, no matter where they live.

Turo’s website tells us that the car is owned by “Erlich B.,” while his profile describes him as a “conqueror” of app incubation, social media aggregation and casual same-sex dating. Turo is also host to Bachman’s description of the car, which is almost too perfect. The description reads:

Seize your golden opportunity to rent the most iconic car Silicon Valley has to offer. This vehicle has accommodated the most brilliant minds and butts of Silicon Valley’s greatest visionaries. And now – if you’re smart – yours. The question is not whether you should rent this car, but rather: are you prepared for it to take you on the vision quest of your dreams?

Bachman also highlights amenities like a GPS system that will “make you feel like a god,” and leather seats that “cradle your buttocks like the firm grasp of a loving mother.”

In summing up why this car is well worth your time and money, the site keeps it straightforward:

Bachman has generously agreed to release the beast from the driveway of his game-changing incubator, and let the masses experience the incomparable luxury and pure-adrenaline thrill that is driving a car emblazoned with the word “Aviato.” “Aviato.” “Aviato.” It’s written all over it.

One important stipulation: no smoking of any kind may be done in the car. Those privileges are reserved for its owner, who may use them as he wishes.
