Sneak a Peek at Star Trek: Discovery‘s First Trailer
Images via Jan Thijs/CBS, CBSIt’s been 16 long years since the last Star Trek aired, and this fall, a brand-new series will hit CBS All Access: Star Trek: Discovery.
CBS announced the series will feature 15 episodes rather than 13, and it will be the first story that isn’t episodic. Each episode will feature self-contained stories.
Taking place 10 years prior to Captain Kirk’s adventures, the crew aboard the Starfleet in the Prime universe will discover the secrets of the Klingons during the fires of the Klingon war. It’s a journey of not only good, old-fashioned sci-fi discovery, but of self-discovery.
The show’s writing is done by none other than the famed Bryan Fuller, though he has no other involvement, and will star The Walking Dead actress Sonequa Martin-Green as Rainsford, Michelle Yeoh as Han Bo, Doug Jones as Lt. Saru, Jason Isaacs as Captain Lorca and Anthony Rapp as Lt. Stamets, among others.
Star Trek: Discovery will premiere its first episode on CBS Television this fall; all following episodes will be shown exclusively on CBS All Access in the U.S. and Netflix internationally.
