HBO Adds Holly Hunter to Season Two of Succession

Holly Hunter has joined the cast of the second season of Succession, the HBO series centered around the grit, grime and hysteria of media conglomerate politics, Deadline reports.

The Oscar- and Emmy award-winning actress will portray the character of Rhea Jarrell, the CEO of a rival media conglomerate. Season two will follow the bumbling Roy family as they plot to maintain a stronghold on their media empire, with Hunter’s character presumably attempting to upend their control (and hopefully have a showdown with Brian Cox’s frightening family patriarch).

Hunter recently co-starred in HBO’s Here and Now alongside Tim Robbins and reprised her role as Elastigirl in 2018’s Incredibles 2. One can only hope she channels the same energy she did in The Incredibles in her new role as a power-hungry corporate fiend.

Rounding out the rest of the cast are veterans Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook and Matthew Macfadyen, among others. The series is set to return to HBO in August.
