The third season of The Crown is on the horizon.
Netflix has announced the Emmy Award-winning series will make its return to the platform on Nov. 17, marking a two-year waiting period since the arrival of the show’s second season in December 2017.
Spanning the years of 1964-1977, Season Three of The Crown covers Harold Wilson’s reign as prime minister and finds its core cast, well, recast: Academy Award winner Olivia Colman will now step into the shoes of Queen Elizabeth II, with Golden Globe nominee Tobias Menzies replacing Matt Smith’s Prince Philip and Emmy winner Helena Bonham Carter replacing Vanessa Kirby’s Princess Margaret. Ben Daniels, Josh O’Connor, Erin Doherty, Marion Bailey and Jason Watkins round out the rest of the new season’s cast.
