The expansive social scene just got a bit more star-studded.  The Gilded Age, HBO’s historical drama, has added six new supporting cast members for its upcoming third season. Set in the 1880s, the series follows the day-to-day conflicts of the wealthy elite in New York City. New supporting players include Dylan Baker (The Good Wife), Kate Baldwin (Just Beyond), John Ellison Conlee (Julia), Michael Cumptsy (Severance), Bobby Steggert (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), and Hannah Shealy (POSSUM). According to Deadline, Baker will portray Dr. Logan, a distinguished family physician who caters to an elite clientele. Cumptsy is set to play Lord Mildmay, a British nobleman with a penchant for dining at Sidmouth Castle. Conlee will take on the role of Weston, a prosperous businessman. Steggert will embody the renowned artist John Singer Sargent, a rising star in the art world, known for capturing the portraits of high-society women. Shealy will portray Charlotte Astor, a woman who recently returned from abroad, the daughter of Mrs. Astor (played by Donna Murphy), and the sister of Carrie Astor (Amy Forsyth). The Gilded Age was created by Academy Award winner Julian Fellows, creator of Downton Abbey. Previously announced cast additions for Season 3 include Andrea Martin (Evil), Bill Camp (The Queen’s Gambit), Brian Stokes Mitchell (Shirley), Hattie Morahan (Sex Education), Jessica Frances Dukes (Ozark), Jordan Donica (Charmed). Leslie Uggams (American Fictions) joined as Mrs. Ernestine Brown alongside LisaGay Hamilton (Genius: MLK/X), Merritt Wever (Unbelievable), Phylicia Rashad (David Makes Man), Paul Alexander Nolan (Hudson & Rex), and Victoria Clark (Pose). HBO has not confirmed a release date for Season 3 of The Gilded Age.
