Happy Holidays: The L Word: Generation Q Receives Winter Premiere Date

The countdown to Showtime’s The L Word reboot begins now.

The premium network has announced the forthcoming sequel to its 2004 groundbreaking ensemble drama will debut on Dec. 8—just in time for the holidays.

The L Word: Generation Q still follows the intermingled lives of the series’ core cast as they live, breathe and die in West Hollywood, while avoiding and correcting the missteps the original run made around misrepresenting bisexual, trans and racially diverse identities.

The announcement follows Thursday’s news of the addition of Sense8 star Jamie Clayton, When They See Us breakout Freddy Miyares and Better Call Saul’s Carlos Leal to the central cast, which welcomes back series mainstays Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey and Katherine Moennig.

The series is executive produced by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan, series creator Ilene Chaiken, Kristen Campo and pilot director Steph Green. Production is currently underway in Los Angeles, Deadline reports.

Nothing quite like ringing in the holiday season with some holly-jolly Alice Pieszecki.
