Amazon Studios’ The Wheel of Time Series Rounds Out Cast With Five New Actors

The Wheel of Time has added to the lineup of star players joining Rosamund Pike in Amazon’s adaptation of the popular fantasy series.

Joining the main cast are Madeleine Madden as Egwene Al’Vere, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve, and Josha Stradowski as Rand Al’Thor.

The Wheel of Time series, based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy novels, will be set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it. The show will follow Moiraine (played by Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.

Amazon’s upcoming series was adapted by showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), and is also produced by Rosamund Pike.

No air date has been confirmed as of yet for The Wheel of Time.
