True Detective Brings the Chaos With Two New Teasers

It’s hard to believe we’re a mere two weeks away from the hotly anticipated second season of True Detective (premiering Sunday, June 21 on HBO, the week after the Game of Thrones finale), but facts are facts, and the season has arrived. And with it come videos—lots and lots of videos. In April we had the teaser-trailer, in May the actual trailer, and now June brings two more teasers to tide us over until the fun begins.

The first teaser is called “Chaos,” and features a lot of percussion and dramatic intonations:

Tongue-in-cheekness aside, these videos hit their mark with me—my already ratcheted excitement just got re-ratcheted to maximum ratchet…at least until the premiere, when I have to imagine it will ratchet some more. With Taylor Kitsch, Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, and Rachel McAdams, it almost feels like it can’t fail.
