As has become my annual tradition, in honor of Valentine’s Day, I give you my love poem to television.
Roses are red, violets are blue,
I love TV and I know you do too.
February has so much from which to choose
But definitely don’t miss out on Disney+ Win or Lose.
Binging or watching weekly, I love it all
Especially SNL celebrating its 50th anniversary from Radio City Music Hall.
Will Suits LA still have that same sparkle?
It will have Harvey and Stephen Amell but no Megan Markle.
This month Natasha Rothwell and White Lotus return for more.
And after the Super Bowl you can catch Rob Lowe and a special episode of The Floor.
So many beloved TV stars are back, there’s no need to frown.
Make sure to watch Paradise with Sterling K. Brown.
It’s still great to have Noah Wyle back in The Pitt.
But what will be the next surprise hit?
Alas, this month will say a big goodbye
To Daniel, Johnny, and the kids of Cobra Kai.
But fret not, of new series there are many;
Here are the five new ones you can’t miss this February.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
Stars: Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Aisha Dee, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Ashley Zukerman, Mark Coles Smith, Susie Porter, Matt Nable , Phoenix Raei, Chai Hansen, Richard Davies, Kieran Darcy-Smith , Catherine McClements and Essie Davis
Premiere Date: All six episodes premiere February 6 on Netflix
This six episode Netflix series is based on a doozy of a story. As Apple Cider Vinegar tells viewers at the outset, “this is a true story based on a lie.” Belle Gibson (Kaitlyn Dever) used Instagram to become a wellness influencer with millions of followers and create a successful global health business. There were books, apps and products all based on her claim that she cured herself of terminal brain cancer by changing her diet. The only problem was she never had cancer… of any kind. Belle is in competition with Milla Blake (Alycia Debnam-Carey), another wellness influencer, who actually did have cancer. Filmed on location in Melbourne, Australia and based on the book The Woman Who Fooled the World by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano, the series proves that the truth really is stranger than fiction.
