Watch Kyle MacLachlan, Jim Belushi, More Talk About Returning to Twin Peaks in New Teaser
Images via Showtime/YouTubeTwin Peaks is coming back in 2017 and though we know basically nothing about the forthcoming series revival, the cast is here to get us hyped anyway.
FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper himself, Kyle MacLachlan, says there’s a “freshness” to the new episodes and that “It’s been absolutely wonderful.” Jim Belushi, whose role hasn’t been disclosed, says working on the show is “the best kind of acting.” And Miguel Ferrer, who plays FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield, says, “It’s a big cast, it’s a big story, big things happen,” which we already got a sense of when it was announced that the cast consisted of 217 actors.
But perhaps the best piece of hype comes from James Marshall, who says, “It discovers in a poetic way the whole human experience.” If that sort of genuine, lofty and slightly cheesy philosophizing, doesn’t sum up Twin Peaks perfectly, then nothing else could.
Among the returning cast members that appear in the video are Harry Goaz (Deputy Andy Brennan), Kimmy Robertson (Lucy) and Dana Ashbrook (Bobby), along with new cast members Amy Shiels, Robert Knepper and Chrysta Bell.
The Twin Peaks revival will air on Showtime in 2017. Watch the teaser above.
