Vice News Tonight to Debut on HBO Sept. 26
Vice has come quite a long way since its free punk magazine days in the nineties. As it continues to expand its forms of storytelling, a nightly newscast entitled Vice News Tonight will air on HBO starting on Sept. 26, per Deadline.
The show will run weeknights for 48 weeks per year.
“We’re going to have to earn people’s time and attention with great reporting and original forms of storytelling,” Vice’s Josh Tyrangiel said in a statement. “We understand that people aren’t going to watch Vice News Tonight out of obligation.””
News of this program was first announced in March 2015.
Vice also debuted a cable channel called Viceland earlier this year.
More details about the content and staff is to come. Personally, we’re hoping for quality content on cargo shorts, weed and Bernie Bros.
