Watch An Exclusive Clip From Episode 9 of Black Sails Season Two

The next episode of Black Sails season two airs this Saturday and we have an exclusive clip. In the video, Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New) converses with Max (Jessica Parker Kennedy) about her decision to declare war.

There is no part of this that is complicated,” Eleanor begins the scene. “I crossed Charles, he retaliated. It is what happens in a war.

A war?” Max queries.

A state of affairs in which resolution only comes when one side has suffered enough pain and is willing to concede its principles,” explains Eleanor.

Black Sails season two premiered on Jan. 24. The second season picks up with the Walrus crew seeking their precious Urca gold, but with a Spanish army standing in their way. Captain Flint and John Silver are forced to work together and Eleanor finds her control over Nassau threatened as tensions mount with Charles Vane and a new bloodthirsty company of pirates led Ned Low arrive.

The Starz Emmy-winning original series is created by executive producers Jonathan Steinberg and Robert Levine, and executive produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. The series follows Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his men, 20 years prior to the events of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel Treasure Island.

Episode 9: “XVII” of Black Sails season two airs on Saturday, March 21 at 9 pm.
